So yesterday Alex asked me, "What makes you happy?"
I'm not gonna lie, I was stumped. So after some serious thought and reflection, here is my list (in no specific order) so far:
-Stargazer Lilies
-"The Usual"
-Writing poetry. Then analyzing and dissecting what I've written.
-Intellectually stimulating moments and conversations.
-Intellectually stimulating conversations about things I'm passionate about. (i.e. the Philippines, politics, poetry, love, life, loss)
-Learning. About anything.
-Listening to your story.
-Love.
-Driving with my windows down on a hotass day with my music hella loud and my hair flying everywhere.
-Working out. (starting to like running more and more each day. Outside only though.)
-Completing a hardass run.
-Spending time with my family.
-Cleaning, when I'm in the mood.
-Chillin. Like, on Lazy days just laying in bed all day watching TV or movies.. only getting up to pee or get more food.
-Inside of the wrist kisses,
-Shooting guns. (preferably shotguns) but any will suffice.
-Laying in the sun.
-Getting my ass beat by waves.
-Watching rain.
-The Philippines.
-Books.
-Dancing.
-Magic Mic.
-Wrestling and talking with the lil ones.

-Reconnecting with old friends.
-Letting go of bad friends with no hard feelings.
-Being well-rested.
-Good Company.
-Tattoos.
-Eating delicious ass FOOD.
-Laughing for hella long. Over nothing.

i remember when i was going through it with the x-factor my co worker told me that when she was in maseusse school they made her do an exercise to "de-stress" urself. it consisted of writing a list of POSITIVE things or things that made u happy in that day. she siad whenever this one girl would piss her off, she would write things she liked about her and almost immediately the anger ceased. so she told me to write what i was thankful for despite the negative curcumstances. I THOUGHT IT WAS SO STUPID. I FELT STUPID WRITING IT. i couldn't write one good thing without challenging it with a bad one. in other words i couldnt just let myself be happy. but now that i look back and read it, i realize life wasn't so bad afterall. it was only as hard as i made it. i like ur happy list. i hope u add on to it. i got one for u, "charming smile," LMAO.
