we remember.

this morning i was telling my husband how often times people forget what today is truly about.  they just see it as a day off from work; the morning is for being hungover and the afternoon is for BBQ.  of course, it's a day off in the spring, why not bbq... in fact i'm going to one later on.

but it's still a day to honor and remember all the men and women in our armed services who have fallen in the line of duty.  and i definitely do that.

my husband, a united states marine, asked if i've always felt this way or do i just feel like it now because i married a marine.

i replied, matter of factly, "yes, i've always felt this way,"  slightly offended.  i always have had very much respect and awe for those who have chose to serve.

death changes your perspective and separates things into two categories.  things that have always mattered and things that never did.

so, gratitude to you all who have fallen, and prayers and blessings to your families.
