in your opinion.

we all go through pretty rough times.  the times where faith in yourself is pretty much non-existent.  your will to go on is depleted.  you even come this close to thinking God has left you to make your own damn footprints in the sand.

you're certain there is no silver lining to the rain cloud that is following you, and yes, just your luck, it's raining outside.  the only two things that haven't let you down are the string that makes the blinds close and the television remote for not getting lost in the sheets because Jesus, Mary and Joseph know you'll just fucking lose it if ONE thing does NOT go your way.

yes, you know you have an awesome support system.  but right now, you don't need someone's fucking support.  you need to find it in yourself to man the fuck up and move the fuck on.  cuz you can't lay in bed forever, eventually you have to go back to school and work and have conversations you don't want to have about how you're feeling, how it's been going and how you're doing.  but in order to get back in to your superficial social circle you carry on with the small talk.  not necessarily giving a fuck whether you convince them or not... but carrying on with a conversation suffices as proof that you're not dead inside, right?

however one deals with their pain is fine with me, because you know what makes me happy?  the fact that they are dealing with it.

what irritates the fucking fuck outta me is when a person asks so "sincerely" how you're doing then when you actually tell and let yourself to open up, you get a judgmental tone back saying "oh, you're going to be fine......." then they proceed to tell you a situation about THEIR LIFE when they felt like you did, but somehow their situation was way worse so you shouldn't be feeling the way you're feeling.  like somehow their situation from their past that had nothing at all to do with you invalidates your feelings because you haven't been through what they're been through.

that is so irritating to me.  yes, there are some instances that call for examples.  like when someone is giving you advice and they demonstrate to you how they got this perception on the topic because of a previous experience.

it's just like this: don't add insult to injury by making me feel like what i'm feeling is not okay.  make sense?  because at the end of the day, i don't give a fuck about you or your thoughts.  i give a fuck about me and my thoughts.  because the way i think and feel will affect the way i act.  and the way i act will affect the people i love and love me back.  and the people whom i love, love me and me are what matter at the end of the day.  and yes, my days are shitty right now and have been for a while and may be for a little while longer... but, i neither need nor want nor care about your past life experience right now.  especially if you're only sharing to prove a shitty point that how i'm dealing is not valid in your opinion.  please and thank you.

of course that is never my response when i find myself in this situation.  biting my tongue is a skill i've learned through the years and i've learned it to be very tactful.   biting back to someone's bark probably would not be conducive to self-healing, though it would probably serve as defibrillator of some sort letting you know that you still have a fight left in you.

i guess the point of this whole thing is healthily deal with your hardship.  and don't let someone passively aggressively belittle you and your feelings because of their unacknowledged insecurity and feelings of bitterness and emptiness.  for lack of better words, who gives a fuck what they have to say about your life?  just man up and form your own opinion about it.

i'm so glad ur regularly updating ur blog now. i hope u keep doing it. and i feel u on this one. no matter how miniscule ur situation may be at the time compared to other people's problems and the "real" issues in the world, at that moment it doesn't matter. 'cuz it IS your life. it consumes u.
